Responsibilities
- Manage the entire medical billing cycle, including insurance claims submission, follow-up and processing of unpaid claims, and payment posting to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Verify patient insurance information and eligibility prior to service delivery to prevent billing errors.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records, billing documents, and financial reports.
- Oversee daily office operations such as scheduling appointments, managing patient check-in/check-out procedures, and handling correspondence.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies or claim denials efficiently.
- Supervise administrative staff, assign tasks, provide training, and support a positive team environment.
- Hiring and training of new employees
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, privacy laws (such as HIPAA), and organizational policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical billing, coding (preferably with certifications like CPC or CCS), and insurance claim processing.
