$2,022.03 to $2,224.23 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs skilled professional work assessing the construction, maintenance, operation, and systems inter-relationship of County facilities, including the functionality of the offices housed within County facilities. Work is performed independently.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Building Construction, Architecture, Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field PLUS two (2) years of professional experience relating to facilities operations and management or commercial and/or industrial building components, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and subcomponents and supporting systems. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience performing construction cost estimating and utilizing facility condition assessment Sustaining Management System (SMS) software is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must be able to pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check administered by the Brevard County Sheriff's Office. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
