Server/Bartender Qualifications/Skills:

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two (2) years of bar or restaurant experience to include order taking and full service dining operations
- Current beverage service certification or other certification as required by federal/state/local law is preferred
- Familiar with point-of-sale computers and software
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Engage with guests warmly, taking orders accurately while providing knowledgeable recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing, cash handling, and sales recording.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment, especially during busy nightclub or banquet events.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, balancing registers at shift end using retail math skills.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of bar stations for events like catering or banquets, ensuring all supplies are stocked and equipment is functioning properly.
Experience
- Previous experience working in food service or hospitality environments, particularly in bars or casual dining establishments.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage diverse guests positively.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper food handling techniques to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
