Corporate Catering Sales & Business Development Manager

BLC Catering & Events is seeking an experienced Corporate Catering Sales & Business Development Manager to grow our direct corporate catering business throughout New York City.

This is a true sales and business development role for someone who knows how to open doors, build relationships and convert opportunities into recurring corporate catering business.

We are looking for someone with experience selling corporate catering, hospitality, events or foodservice services to Executive Assistants, Office Managers, Workplace/Facilities teams, HR, Event Planners, Procurement teams and corporate decision-makers.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop new corporate catering accounts throughout NYC
• Prospect through phone, email, LinkedIn and in-person outreach
• Build recurring breakfast, lunch, meeting and event business
• Reactivate dormant and warm accounts
• Schedule tastings and prepare proposals
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and follow through to close
• Develop relationships with companies in finance, law, technology, real estate, fashion, media, architecture/design and professional services
• Work closely with operations to ensure new business is profitable and executable
• Track sales activity and results

The right candidate should have:

• Proven NYC corporate catering, hospitality or event sales experience
• Strong prospecting and closing skills
• Existing corporate relationships are a major plus
• Ability to work independently and manage a pipeline
• Experience developing recurring accounts, not only one-time events
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• A results-driven, hunter mentality

This is not an order-taking position. We are looking for someone who enjoys creating new business and building a book of accounts.

Compensation: Base salary plus uncapped commission and performance incentives. Commission is tied to collected new business.
