What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children's Ministry Marketplace Coordinator - Brentwood position at Brentwood Baptist Church?
The Brentwood, Children’s Ministry Marketplace Coordinator is responsible to the church, under the direction of the Children’s Minister for helping and leading out in creating a experiential environment for kids to learn and apply the gospel by helping kids experience the Bible through interactive storytelling, hands-on learning, and creative engagement on Sunday mornings, Impact, VBS, and other Children’s ministry events.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:
- Support the Children’s Minister and Children’s Ministry team in providing ministry to children in Grades 1-5 and their families.
- Oversee all aspects of the Sunday morning Marketplace experience.
- Each week they will lead out in bringing the Bible to life for each child through creative storytelling and hands on learning experiences
- Help to recruit and train adults, teens and older children who desire to use their gifts in various aspects of Marketplace
- Assist with aspects of large group worship and creative elements for Impact and VBS.
- Assist the Children’s Minister in gathering names of potential leaders and teachers. Utilize the Mission & Vision and PLACE class participants as potential volunteers.
- Work with the Comms Team to create digital Children’s Ministry content.
- Attend and participate in Childhood Department Leadership Team meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A personal sense of calling from God to vocational Christian ministry in general and to this particular area of ministry.
- Can identify closely with the mission, values, vision, theology, philosophy and methodology of Brentwood Baptist Church.
- A mature Christian who is demonstrates the Fruits of the Spirit, is growing in their faith and is committed to spiritual disciplines such as Bible reading, prayer.
- Ability to collaborate, cooperate and function well in a team environment.
- A mature Christian who is growing in their personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible Study, prayer and service
- An understanding of children’s ministry as a foundational ministry of the church
