Your Role and Responsibilities
- Asking questions to gather information from callers and prioritizing calls based on responses
- Speaking with supervisors and customers to resolve problems, requests for services or equipment
- Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
- Responding to customer inquiries.
- Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
- Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
- Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Good collaboration and time management skills
- Ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory and communications proposes
- Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to support dispatch time windows
- Identify and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures. Sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues.
- Deal with personnel issues on shift in line with Company Policy and Agreements
- Responsible for training of operators for products and processes within the local team
- Conduct incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure
- Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
- Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them

- Oversee daily dispatch activities to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Coordinate communication between drivers, customers, and other departments.
- Monitor and track vehicle locations using GPS and dispatch software.
- Train and mentor dispatch staff to enhance performance and productivity.
- Sending drivers, work crews, vehicles or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs.
- Analyze dispatch metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the dispatch process.
Your Profile
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree– logistics or equivalent experience
