This center is open Monday-Friday and shifts typically run between 7:45 AM - 6:15 PM.
About the Role
We are looking to hire a Toddler Teacher who works with 18-24 month old's who is excited about building a new model of child care that responds to families' varying child care needs, while also delivering the highest quality experiences for children. As a Brella Infant/Toddler Teacher, You Will
- Provide a safe and loving environment for children in collaboration with co-teachers
- Model empathy through respect, response, and gentle guidance
- Engage as children work with age-appropriate, stimulating, and thoughtful materials
- Plan and implement Brella curriculum and develop daily modifications as needed per age group or emergent class interests and demonstrate that the target curriculum engagement/quality elements are being achieved
- Keep the classroom safe by following procedures and guidelines
- Collaborate and communicate respectfully with coworkers creating positive relationships and center culture
- Communicate effectively with families during drop off/pick ups and provide curriculum and development updates
- Experience & Education Requirements:
Experience, Knowledge & Abilities
- At least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma and 12 Early Childhood Education units including 3 units specific to infant care (Required by Licensing)
- At least 12 months of experience working in a licensed child care facility
- Must meet the requirements of the California Department of Social Services / Licensing

Physical Demands
- Move comfortably throughout the classroom and center, including lifting, reaching, squatting, climbing, sitting, walking, bending, and standing for extended periods of time
- Safely interact with and physically support children ages 3 months to 6 years using appropriate child-handling techniques
- Lift children or classroom materials up to 50 pounds, as needed
- Maintain the mental and physical alertness needed to supervise children and respond to daily classroom needs
- Respond immediately and appropriately to unexpected situations, safety concerns, or emergencies
- Follow all state, federal, and Brella guidelines related to immunizations, employment physicals, required health and safety training, and safe classroom practices

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $23.50 hourly with final compensation determined based on experience and qualifications.
Salary : $21 - $24
