Moyer's is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of the general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You'll work closely with the Controller to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and integrity across all accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- In-depth understanding of project accounting (per ASC 606).
- Maintain and analyze the general ledger for multiple entities.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Assist with M&A integration, system implementations, and special projects as needed.
- Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for accuracy.
- Assist with financial statement preparation and management reporting.
- Assist Controller in collaboration with external auditors to support annual audits and tax filings.
- Identify process improvements to strengthen internal controls and streamline reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years of accounting experience, ideally including private company experience in a multi-entity environment.
- Knowledge of accrual accounting, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and WIP reporting.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in private equity-backed, construction, or project-based companies is a plus.
Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
