Job Description
Job Purpose: To render a property transfer service to the council, execute all home-ownership transfers’ transactions of the council according to Council decisions and relevant legislation.
Duties: Act as property consultant regarding erf and house sales.

Job Description
Job Purpose: To render a property transfer service to the council, execute all home-ownership transfers’ transactions of the council according to Council decisions and relevant legislation.
Duties: Act as property consultant regarding erf and house sales.
- Assist the with proceedings during auctions.
- Communicate and liaise with different attorney firms regarding loans bonds, transport of erven and any type of property sold by the council.
- Assist to draw up concept contracts for every extension where houses/erven are sold.
- Capture deeds and review documentation and the signing of all transport documentation.
- Adhere to council resolutions and commands given by supervisor regarding Council property transactions to ensure a well administrated homeowners transfer services.
- Liaise with the Manager: Human Settlements and Housing regarding sale of housing projects to be transferred.
- Keep record of circulated housing/erven files
- Keep track of assets and to keep office equipment in a good condition in line with the laid down procedures and applicable Policy requirements.
- Administering and controlling the budget applicable to the Housing / Rental Stock Administration Section
- Ensure that all rental units have approved contracts as per standard operating procedure.
- Write reports of illegal occupation and utilization of municipal rental units.
- Interact with tenants, applications on the waiting list, area committees and community in respect of report of illegal occupation and utilization of municipal rental units.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant National Diploma
- 2 years’ relevant experience
- Valid Code B Drivers licence
- Supervisory Skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Be able to work independent
- Computer Literate (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Email)
- Good people skills writing and calculating skills
- Fluent in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
