Job Description

Job Purpose: Performs tasks/ activities associated with the monitoring of informal areas and illegal occupation of land.

Duties:

• Doing snap surveys in informal settlements
• Check for any illegal structures erected on sites
• Ensure that all informal structures are marked according to the set procedure
• Loading materials and equipment on the vehicle
• Breaking down empty illegal structures
• Preventing the erection of new structures
• Assist during disaster events
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations
• Report any defects / shortcomings relating to water and sanitation.
  
  

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• 1-year relevant work experience
• Physical fit and healthy
• Must lift and carry weights up to 25kg
• Proficient in at least 2 of the 3 official languages in the Western Cape
