Position Overview

Seeking a FT/PT Hybrid Human Resources Generalist/Administrative Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the organization through the administration of human resources functions and executive administrative support. This position assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, personnel records, benefits administration, training coordination, and office management while providing administrative support to executive leadership.


The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, maintains confidentiality, and possesses excellent communication and customer service skills.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*Human Resources

  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting vacancies, scheduling interviews, and communicating with applicants.
  • Conduct new employee onboarding and orientation.
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Track employee licenses, certifications, credentials, and annual training requirements.
  • Monitor employee background checks, drug screenings, and reference verifications.
  • Assist with employee performance evaluation processes.
  • Coordinate employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personnel information.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment and employee questions.
  • Prepare employment verification letters and HR correspondence.
  • Monitor employee leave requests and attendance records.
  • Maintain HR databases and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Assist with investigations involving employee concerns when assigned.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation reporting and documentation.
  • Support unemployment claim documentation.
  • Assist with policy development and implementation.


*Administrative Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to executive leadership.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, meeting agendas, and presentations.
  • Maintain organizational calendars.
  • Coordinate meetings and training events.
  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
  • Receive visitors and vendors professionally.
  • Manage office supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Assist with purchasing and vendor coordination.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements when necessary.
  • Schedule facility maintenance and service appointments.


*Compliance Responsibilities

Assist the organization in maintaining compliance with applicable requirements, including:

  • Personnel file maintenance
  • Training documentation
  • OSHA requirements
  • HIPAA confidentiality
  • Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), when applicable
  • Workers' compensation reporting
  • Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9)
  • Background screening documentation
  • Licensing and accreditation standards
  • State and federal labor laws


*Behavioral Health and Residential Compliance (when applicable)

Support organizational compliance by maintaining documentation related to:

  • Staff credentialing
  • Continuing education requirements
  • CPR/First Aid certification tracking
  • Mandated reporter training
  • Trauma-informed care training
  • Cultural competency training
  • Crisis intervention training
  • Residential staffing documentation
  • Regulatory audits and surveys


*Qualifications

Education

Associate’s/Bachelor's degree in:

  • Human Resources
  • Business Administration
  • Public Administration
  • Healthcare Administration
  • Organizational Leadership
  • Related field

Equivalent experience will be considered.


Preferred Certifications

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
  • Certified Administrative Professional (CAP)


Experience

Preferred:

  • Two or more years of Human Resources experience.
  • Administrative support experience.
  • Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, nonprofit, or social services.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
