Afternoon Teacher
Bread and Roses is seeking a patient, nurturing, and passionate teacher to join our eclectic teaching team! Bread and Roses is a non-profit alternative preschool (serving ages 2.5 till Kindergarten). We value creativity, inclusivity, imagination, and the power of learning through play. The ideal candidate has experience in early childcare and a CDA/ECE degree or willing to acquire. This position is part time M-F afternoons from 12:30-5:30 with frequent opportunities to work more hours. Pay is dependent on experience ($14-$16). We are looking for someone who can start on April 6.
Classroom Responsibilities:
- Assist Lead Teachers with daily operations of the program, including supervising children, signing children in and out, communicating with parents
- Complete end-of-day cleaning and assist with cleaning throughout the day
- Opportunities for growth within the organization
Required Qualifications:
- Must meet all requirements for the position as set forth by Licensing
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a High School Diploma/GED
- Must complete a comprehensive background check at the time of hire
- Must Complete Required MIRegistry Trainings
- Upon Hire, complete orientation training
- Must Complete Ongoing Professional Development Annually
- Maintain an active CPR/First Aid certification
- Complete MIRegistry Health and Safety Refresher (3 hours)
- Complete a total of 24 hours of training annually
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
