What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Manager position at Bread Furst?
The busy Van Ness neighborhood bakery, Bread Furst, led by James Beard Award-winning chef Mark Furstenberg, is looking for a Kitchen Manager to lead our cafe kitchen at our secondary location inside the Phillips Collection in DuPont Circle. The café staff work daily from 9:30 am-5:30pm. Mondays the café and museum are closed. Candidates must be driven by quality, creativity, and share our passion for food and service.
No baking necessary but must have some kitchen experience. We are looking for someone to start & finish training before the opening of a new exhibit in mid-March. If interested, please email a resume to jobsatbreadfurst@gmail.com
Must:
- Have weekend availability
- Kitchen experience
- Be able to lift 50lbs
- Willingness to help in front of house when needed
- Driver's license
- ABRA license (or ability to acquire one)
- Food manager license (or ability to acquire one)
Preferred:
- FOH experience or interest
- Basic Spanish proficiency
