Basic Function
Under general supervision of the Principal, assist in the supervision, management, safety and well- being of students during lunch.

Under general supervision of the Principal, assist in the supervision, management, safety and well- being of students during lunch.
Essential Duties
- Supervises noon and recess play activities which are in progress in the yard or playground.
- Maintains firm but respectful and courteous attitude toward students in a consistent manner.
- Circulates around the assigned play area; acts at all times in accordance with rules, regulations, policies and philosophy of the school and the district.
- Attempts to prevent accidents and injury before they occur by recognizing conditions and situations likely to cause trouble; takes action to correct such conditions.
- Monitors and assists in clean up in the eating areas.
- Helps students to develop good habits of citizenship by insisting upon democratic behavior; encourages students to practice courtesy.
- Refers any requests for leaving the school grounds to the principal or assistant principal.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding student behavior.

- Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school.
- First Aid and CPR desirable

- Position will often be required to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects between 10 to 50 pounds.
