**The District reserves the right to close the recruitment regardless of the date or length of the posting period** Work schedule will be Monday - Friday from 6:30 am - 3:30 pm. DEFINITION Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Maintenance, Operations, Transportation, and Facilities (MOTF), District Management, and/or Designee. Performs mandated inspections as required by state laws and regulations to ensure safety, repairs and maintains the up-keep of buses, trucks, vans, automobiles, tractors, mowers, gardening equipment, maintenance equipment and other District equipment on a daily basis. Performs other related work as necessary or required.
Requirements / Qualifications
License Requirement: • Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Class A or Class B Operator’s License; and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s vehicle insurance policy. • DMV form DL51. • Employees in this classification are subject to random drug testing. • Maintains current and valid required licensing and certification. • Air and hydraulic brake certification. • Certificate of Diesel and Gasoline engines diagnostic procedures. Education: • Completion of a course in diesel, automotive and suspension systems. • High school diploma or equivalent.
TESTING BY APPOINTMENT ONLY: This position requires passage of a written Heavy Duty Mechanic test. You will be contacted by Human Resources regarding testing date and time. The written test will be held at the Magnolia School District Office (2705 W. Orange Ave., Anaheim, CA 92804).
