Brea Networks is a trusted Managed Service Provider (MSP) supporting the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) with cybersecurity and compliance solutions. We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy CMMC Data Coordinator to manage, organize, and maintain sensitive compliance data for our clients.
This position plays a key role in supporting CMMC, NIST 800-171, and DFARS compliance efforts by ensuring that data handling, documentation, and reporting processes are accurate, secure, and aligned with DoD requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Integrity
- Import, export, and manage compliance-related data across multiple formats (Excel, CSV, database entries, PDF, and Word).
- Perform data entry, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of client compliance records.
- Conduct data integrity checks and resolve discrepancies between client records, reports, and system data.
- Maintain consistent naming conventions, version control, and document organization within secure repositories (Microsoft GCC High, SharePoint, etc.).
- Convert and organize data outputs into client-ready reports and deliverables.
Compliance Documentation & Policy Development
- Assist in creating and maintaining CMMC policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support documentation of compliance controls, security requirements, and corrective action plans.
- Ensure version control, traceability, and proper formatting for all compliance documents.
- Conduct research on CMMC, NIST, and DFARS framework requirements to support internal and client documentation efforts.
AI & Automation Support
- Use AI and automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) to streamline data entry, reporting, and research tasks.
- Identify opportunities for automation to improve data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Assist in building smart templates or scripts for faster report generation and compliance documentation.
Word Processing & Reporting
- Draft, edit, and format reports, policy documents, and compliance summaries in Word and PDF.
- Generate and maintain standardized templates for assessments, client deliverables, and audit-ready documentation.
- Collaborate with compliance and operations teams to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency across all materials.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and data formatting/conversion (CSV, PDF, etc.).
- Experience with data entry, integrity checks, and file management in structured environments.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
- Working knowledge of CMMC or NIST 800-171 frameworks (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Strong communication and writing skills for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to handle sensitive client data with confidentiality and discretion.
- Comfort using AI tools and automation technologies to improve productivity.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a compliance, IT, or cybersecurity role.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft 365 GCC High, or other secure cloud systems.
- Prior work supporting CMMC readiness assessments or compliance documentation.
- Background in technical writing, data coordination, or process development.
