What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager - Experiential Design & Fabrication position at BRDG Studios?
BRDG Studios is seeking a Project Manager who understands how ambitious ideas actually get built. This role is for someone with hands-on design-build or fabrication experience or a deep working understanding of how concepts move from design to shop to site.
As a Project Manager at BRDG, you are the day-to-day shot caller for your projects. You own the workflow, set the pace, and keep teams aligned as work moves through design, fabrication, and installation. You’re part stage manager, part strategist, part problem-solver, comfortable in the weeds and confident leading teams toward successful delivery.
You will lead cross-functional project teams, manage budgets and schedules, act as the primary client contact, and ensure every project is delivered with intention, quality, and financial accountability.
At BRDG, we connect visionary brands with their audiences by crafting unforgettable experiences that blend the digital and physical worlds. This role is critical to making that promise real.
- Act as the project leader and day-to-day decision-maker, driving projects from kickoff through closeout.
- Own project plans and workflows—managing scope, schedule, budget, and resources across multiple workstreams.
- Serve as the internal “stage manager,” coordinating designers, fabricators, engineers, and creative technologists to keep work moving forward.
- Lead small project teams, facilitate internal meetings, and ensure clear communication across departments.
- Build, manage, and maintain project budgets and scopes of work with a strong understanding of project profitability.
- Track costs, forecasts, and changes, ensuring financial health throughout the project lifecycle.
- Understand how decisions impact margin and long-term project success, not just immediate delivery.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for clients, building rapport with mid-level stakeholders while maintaining alignment with senior leadership.
- Communicate clearly, proactively, and confidently especially when priorities shift or challenges arise.
- Manage external vendors and partners, overseeing deliverables, timelines, and performance.
- Translate creative intent into actionable direction that vendors and internal teams can execute against.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource forecasts.
- Identify risks early (technical, budgetary, scheduling, or vendor-relate) and proactively solve for them.
- Uphold BRDG’s standards for quality, documentation, and execution across all phases of work.
- Develop a clear point of view on the work, offering perspective and recommendations that strengthen outcomes.
- Contribute to a collaborative, accountable studio culture built on trust, clarity, and follow-through.
- Bring curiosity and care to how we work; helping BRDG continuously refine how we deliver complex, high-impact projects.
- 3-5 years of project management experience in design-build, fabrication, experiential, exhibits, retail environments, or large-scale activations.
- Strong understanding of how projects move from concept to fabrication to installation.
- Proven ability to lead projects independently and drive them to successful completion.
- Comfortable managing budgets, scopes, and profitability, not just schedules.
- Experience coordinating external vendors and multidisciplinary internal teams.
- Confident communicator who can lead client conversations and internal alignment with clarity and calm.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive—able to juggle multiple projects at once.
- Familiarity with project management tools, Google Workspace, and financial tracking systems (Xero a plus).
- Strong ability to create work-back schedules and align teams to milestones or sprints.
