Work Location: Remote

Experience: Min 2-4 years

Responsibilities:

•          Will have to interact/follow up with Customers/Vendors for Fleet Information

•          Responsible for the Configuration of a Data Dictionary for each Customer (new and existing).

•          Ensuring the Quality of the product (checklist compliance).

•          Leading and watching over the team for timely delivery of configurations

•          Testing the configurations on the Bus-In-Box setup

•          Testing/playing back CAN data in case of troubleshooting of Data Dictionaries

•          Responsible for Integration of AVM product with Software and Database

•          Heading/Participating in Configuration Reviews before releasing the product to QA (Quality

Assurance)

•          Training/Knowledge sharing with team

•          Leading Automation tasks.

•          Organizing/participating in weekly calls and meetings

Skills Required:

1. Must have CAN knowledge including J1939 protocol

                a. Deciphering CAN captures, playing back CAN captures, sending CAN data on CAN channels

                b. J1939, PGN, SPN understanding

                c. Bit assignment, understanding of Data format via J1939/CAN communication protocols.

                d. Analyzing CAN captures for any anomalies/failures.

2. Simulation/Test Bench Setup

                a. Experience in setting up simulations

                b. Connection of host PC/product/ECU via ethernet

                c. Writing simulation scripts to run a particular feature.

3. Heavy-duty Automotive Knowledge

                a. Understanding basic functionality of Engine, Transmission, ABS, cooling system, Fan controllers, DIO, analog IO

                b. Understanding part numbers/model/version of these components.

4. Excel

                a. Formulating excel sheets
                b. Applying filters

5. Embedded SW knowledge

                a. Understanding of implemented algorithms

                b. Understanding of scaling/offsets

                c. Understanding of bit information, how data is stored in memory

6. Added knowledge for Dictionary - good to have

                a. Experience in configuring calibrations

                b. Maintenance/monitoring points configuration for Vehicle health monitoring

                c. Categorizing monitoring points as "Severe", "Warnings", etc

                d. Communicating with Vendors, follow up via email/phone calls.

                e. Understanding of generating reports from a server, and analyzing the same.

                f. Analysing server failures, and finding what needs to be fixed in configuration.

                g. Scripting language like VB/Python for automating DD tasks.

7. Communication skills

                a. Excellent communication, MS powerpoint, email drafting skills.

Education: BE/BTech in, Electronics Electronics/Electronics and Communications Engineer
