Insurance Account Manager

NOTE: This position is open to qualified individuals located in Dickinson, Devils Lake or Minot.

Bravera Insurance is looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager in Dickinson, ND. Bravera is an employee- and director-owned company that is committed to helping our employees forge a new path in their career. This customer service position is responsible for all aspects of client account servicing. An Account Manager owns the Bravera Insurance client relationship by providing day to day service and coverage solutions that meets our client’s needs and expectations.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

1. Be a trusted advisor to Bravera Insurance clients.
2. Offer exceptional customer service.
3. Support the sales function of Bravera Insurance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Informs and educates clients about coverages, exclusions and exposures to create an insurance plan tailored for them.
2. Assists clients in making appropriate coverage changes.
3. Maintains agency electronic files accurately and consistently; processes all incoming mail requests accurately and timely. Document all conversations in the automation system.
4. Provides technical support (quotes, proposals, suspense items, summaries, etc) to Insurance Advisors to help clients and reach the agency’s business goals.
5. Performs online rating with companies or submits to carriers for rating. Follows up in a timely manner.
6. Follows agency workflows and procedures.
7. Reports and assists clients in submission of claims to carrier. Informs Insurance Advisor of potential issues in claim process.
8. Responsible for coverage analysis, renewal review and re-marketing.
9. Actively refers clients to other departments for solicitation. Makes each contact a marketing opportunity.
10. Keeps current on carriers, product knowledge and trends in the marketplace.
11. Work as a team with other service associates.
12. May assist in the training and mentoring of new staff.
13. Utilizes 3rd party insurance products.
14. Assists or completes other tasks as directed by agency management.
15. Responsible for promoting the organization in the community through participation in various civic and community events, activities, committees, and organizations.
16. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism regarding all employee and customer issues and information.
17. Contribute to the overall success of the organization by leveraging opportunities as they relate to all entities of Bravera Holding Co.
18. Adhere to all banking rules and regulations, including but not limited to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act. In addition, the employee will be proactive in the prevention of illegal activities, will vigilantly look for activities that may constitute any type of fraud including money laundering, and will report any suspicious activity to the BSA Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):

• Valid Resident Insurance License within 90 days of accepting position.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or other related field.
• Minimum three years related experience OR an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities.
• PC proficiency in a windows environment required, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proficiency in keyboarding.
• Professional communication both verbally and written.
• Will be required to drive a company vehicle with some overnight travel required. Must maintain a clear driving record in order to maintain coverage under Bravera’s vehicle insurance provider.
