In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, fabricating, and repairing glass and related materials across a variety of construction and remodeling sites. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install glass panels, windows, doors, and custom fixtures with precision using hand tools and power tools.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans.
- Fabricate glass components and related materials in the shop or on-site to meet project specifications - ie storefront, glazing, doors, hollowmetal doors, hardware, auto doors, shower doors, windows, mirrors
- Perform heavy lifting and maneuver large or fragile glass units safely across construction sites.
- Install trim carpentry, cabinetry, fixtures, door hanging systems, and metal stud framing as needed for comprehensive project completion.
- Apply caulking, construction painting, and finishing techniques to ensure seamless installations.
- Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, fabricators, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks efficiently on busy construction sites.
Skills
- Extensive experience with glass installation techniques and fabrication processes. Looking for individual that does not require training.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, levels, and measuring devices; familiarity with power tools is essential. Some tools provided but must have own tools.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using scaffolding, ladders, and other access equipment safely at heights.
- Experience with metal stud framing, drywall installation, remodeling projects, and handyman tasks is highly valued.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during fixture installation or remodeling work. Apply your existing expertise in carpentry, glazing techniques, fabrication methods, and more.
Pay: $25.66 - $30.90 per hour
