Brant Beach Yacht Club (BBYC) is seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and tennis-loving Assistant Tennis Instructors to join our summer programs team. If you enjoy coaching, motivating young players, and creating a fun, positive learning environment on the court, this is the perfect opportunity.
This is a hands-on, high-energy role in one of the most vibrant summer communities on Long Beach Island.

About the Tennis Program
BBYC offers a robust and well-loved tennis program for both juniors and adults, including:
Junior Programs
- Beginner Tennis – Fundamentals, hand-eye coordination, and basic rallying
- Intermediate Tennis – Skill development, drills, and match play
- Advanced Tennis – Technical shots, strategy, singles & doubles play
- Junior Match Play – Competitive play, tournaments, and scoring
Adult Programs
- Adult Clinics – Skill development and doubles strategy
- Adult Round Robins – Social and competitive doubles play
As an Assistant Tennis Instructor, you will support the Head Pro and lead instruction across these programs.
What You’ll Do
On-Court Instruction & Coaching
- Assist in teaching junior and adult tennis clinics
- Lead drills, games, and skill-building activities
- Support match play, scoring, and rules instruction
- Help create a positive, encouraging learning environment
Camper & Player Engagement
- Motivate and engage players of all ages and skill levels
- Build confidence, sportsmanship, and team spirit
- Ensure a fun, safe, and structured experience on court
Program Support
- Assist with court setup and breakdown
- Support daily schedules and class transitions
- Communicate effectively with the Head Pro and program staff
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You…
- Are passionate about tennis and youth development
- Are energetic, positive, and love being active outdoors
- Enjoy working with children, teens, and adults
- Have 1–2 years of experience teaching or coaching tennis
- Are CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to be trained)
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Are reliable, team-oriented, and enthusiastic
- Thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
Schedule
- Seasonal position | Summer 2026 (06/20/2026 to 08/14/2026)
- Program runs approximately late June through mid-August
- Weekday and very limited weekend availability required
- Hours vary based on program schedule (typically 32 to 40 hrs per week)
