Process Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and start injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment according to production schedules and work instructions.
• Monitor, adjust, and optimize machine parameters to ensure consistent part quality and cycle efficiency.
• Troubleshoot molding defects (e.g., flash, short shots, burns, splay) and make corrective adjustments.
• Perform mold changes and setups in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines, molds, and equipment.
• Document process parameters, setups, and adjustments for process control and traceability.
• Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (5S, lean manufacturing, scrap reduction).
• Train machine operators on proper production techniques and quality checks.
• Collaborate with engineering, tooling, and quality teams to improve molding processes and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in plastics or manufacturing a plus.
• 2 years of experience as a Process Technician
• Strong understanding of injection molding machinery (e.g., Engel, Arburg, Nissei, Husky).
• Familiarity with various thermoplastic resins and their processing parameters.
• Proficient in using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) and interpreting blueprints/specs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment with physical demands.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
