Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Some Saturdays may be required)

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Bakery Helper to join our production team. This is a hands-on position that supports every area of the bakery. The ideal candidate enjoys staying busy, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and is willing to jump in wherever needed.

This position includes washing dishes, making deliveries in company vehicles, maintaining the cleanliness of both the inside and outside of the bakery, assisting bakers with production, and performing other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, baking pans, utensils, bowls, and bakery equipment throughout the day.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary dishwashing area.
• Keep all bakery work areas clean and stocked.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, and maintain cleanliness throughout the bakery.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, customer areas, storage rooms, and employee workspaces.
• Keep the exterior of the building clean, including sidewalks, entrances, parking areas, and trash receptacles.
• Load, unload, and organize incoming deliveries and inventory.
• Deliver bakery products to wholesale customers and other business locations using company vehicles.
• Assist bakers with ingredient preparation, scaling ingredients, packaging, labeling, and other basic production tasks.
• Package baked goods for retail and wholesale orders.
• Assist with stocking displays and organizing inventory.
• Move ingredients and supplies throughout the bakery as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist other departments as business needs require.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous bakery, restaurant, warehouse, custodial, or food service experience is helpful but not required.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Food safety knowledge is a plus (ServSafe certification preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, push, pull, and climb ladders when necessary.
• Comfortable working in a warm kitchen environment.
• Must be able to safely load and unload bakery products and supplies.
