Position Overview
The Sales Coordinator serves as the operational hub supporting Brandon & Clark's Outside Sales organization. Working alongside assigned Account Executives, the role provides proactive coordination throughout the entire sales process, ensuring customers receive timely communication while allowing Account Executives to focus on building relationships and generating revenue. The Sales Coordinator manages opportunities from initial customer request through quotation, order execution and follow-up, partnering closely with Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Operations, Service and Accounting to promote process consistency, data integrity, customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
General Duties
- Serve as the primary coordinator and operational hub for assigned Account Executives, managing customer opportunities from inquiry through completion.
- Coordinate quotations with Inside Sales, Operations and Purchasing, and proactively follow up on outstanding opportunities.
- Track customer requests and communicate order status, delivery schedules and service updates to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate internal communication across departments so customer requests reach the appropriate teams.
- Assist Account Executives with scheduling, follow-up and administrative support to maximize their customer-facing time.
- Maintain complete, accurate customer accounts and documentation within CRM and ERP systems.
- Provide responsive, professional customer service and consistent communication throughout every project.
- Assist with issue resolution and escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures and support data accuracy and reporting initiatives.
- Work closely with Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Service Operations, Purchasing, Accounting and Shipping & Receiving to meet customer expectations.
- Communicate delays, risks and important updates proactively.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and support the development of SOPs, workflows and new technology.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of customer service, sales support, inside sales or operations coordination experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong computer proficiency; experience with CRM and ERP systems preferred.
- Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across multiple departments.
- Customer-focused mindset with a high level of accountability.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily sedentary work performed in an office setting.
- Ability to remain stationary and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, telephone and standard office equipment.
- Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
Work Environment
- Standard climate-controlled office environment.
- Regular collaboration with internal departments and external customers.
- Fast-paced setting requiring the management of shifting priorities.
