Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Front Desk Receptionist role based in Brandon, FL. The Front Desk Receptionist will greet athletes, families, and visitors; answer and route phone calls; respond to emails; and provide general information about programs, schedules, and policies. The role includes checking in participants, processing payments, collecting and updating forms, and maintaining accurate records in registration systems. Daily responsibilities also include handling incoming and outgoing mail, organizing front desk materials, scheduling or rescheduling classes and appointments, and keeping the reception area clean and presentable. The Front Desk Receptionist will collaborate with coaches and management to relay messages, support event check-ins, and ensure a smooth and welcoming front-of-house experience.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with athletes, families, and team members.
- Proficient phone etiquette and receptionist duties, including answering calls, routing inquiries, and greeting in-person visitors.
- Clerical and administrative skills such as data entry, recordkeeping, filing, scheduling, and handling basic payment processing.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., email, office software, and scheduling or registration systems) and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a front desk, customer service, or youth sports/activities environment is preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized, with the ability to multitask in a busy environment and maintain confidentiality of participant information.
- Availability to work evenings, Monday-Thursday from 4:00-9:00pm
