Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for a temporary, project-based assignment in Fallon, Nevada. This role will oversee a commercial renovation / tenant improvement project, managing all on-site construction activities from start through completion.

The Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met while serving as a key point of contact in the field.

This role requires someone who is extremely attentive to client needs, highly responsive, and committed to proactively solving problems throughout the construction process.

This is a temporary position tied to a specific project. Inexperienced candidates will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day field operations for the project.
• Coordinate and direct subcontractors, trades, and deliveries on-site.
• Develop and manage look-ahead schedules (2–3 week) and daily work plans.
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with construction drawings, specifications, and project standards.
• Perform daily site walks and quality control inspections.
• Enforce jobsite safety standards and OSHA compliance, including conducting safety meetings.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts, trade stacking issues, and unforeseen site conditions.
• Maintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, and logistics coordination.
• Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure work is ready for approval.
• Communicate daily progress, issues, and manpower updates to the Project Manager.
• Complete and maintain daily reports using Raken, including photos, manpower, and notes.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings focused on sequencing and field execution.
• Manage punch list completion and field closeout activities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years of commercial construction experience in a Superintendent or lead field role.
• Proven experience running commercial renovation and tenant improvement projects in the field.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, trade coordination, and jobsite logistics.
• Experience working in existing buildings and managing renovation challenges (tight spaces, active environments, unforeseen conditions).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of jobsite safety practices and OSHA requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead subcontractors and maintain jobsite productivity.
• Strong communication skills, especially between field and office teams.
• Ability to stay organized and maintain consistent daily reporting (Raken).
• Ability to work effectively in a remote or less urban location.

Candidates without significant hands-on field leadership experience will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working for a commercial general contractor.
• Experience managing projects in remote or regional locations.
• Ability to quickly adapt to existing site conditions and evolving field challenges.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
