What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant -Orthopaedics position at Branding 2?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the operating room exclusively with spine procedures, including intraoperative support for surgeons
- Conducting comprehensive clinic-based patient evaluations, histories, and physicals
- Providing patient education and facilitating post-operative care
- Performing office procedures such as injections, aspirations, casting, and splinting
- Reviewing and interpreting diagnostic imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT scans)
- Managing lab results and coordinating necessary diagnostics
- Supporting pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up
- Documenting patient encounters accurately within the EHR system
- Prescribing medications and managing treatment plans
- Participating in collaborative team meetings and patient care discussions
- Providing occasional hospital consults and light call coverage as needed
- Conduct independent clinic to include new patient evaluations and post operative follow ups
Qualifications:
- NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant or equivalent
- Prior orthopaedic/spine surgery experience, particularly in the operating room, is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, initiative, and professionalism
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
- Eligible for licensure in Alabama (Tennessee license a plus)

- Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas
