What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner-Orthopaedic Sports Medicine position at Branding 2?
Primary duties include:
- Surgical First Assist
- Rounding
- Office / clinic patient evaluations and education
- Give therapeutic injections
- Refer for diagnostic treatment/tests
- Evaluate x-ray, CT scan and MRI
- Review lab results
- Casting and splinting
- Write scripts
- Dictation
- Computer literate and ability to use EHR
Must also posses:
- Must be NCCPA-certified, or CRNP/FNP certified.
- Three years previous orthopaedic experience required
- Must be licensed to practice in Alabama
- Independent thinker, self confident, organized, hard working
- Able to work well with others in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully
- Constant standing and walking
- Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas
- Constantly work at a productive pace
- Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes
