What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook/Prep Cook position at Branch Out Foods?
Branch Out is a fast casual restaurant with fresh, local, and international flavors. We are a completely plant based and gluten free space, with customers from all walks of life. You don't need to be eating a special kind of diet to work here! Everyone is welcome.
Line Cook/Prep Cook includes but not limited to: following recipes, knife skills, prepping vegetables, cooking on the line, cleaning kitchen equipment, dishes, sweeping/mopping, lifting bags and containers, and much more.
Flexibility goes a long way as we are a small team. Pay depends on experience, between $12 - $13 pooled tips($3 - $5 extra per hour). Benefits include discounts on food or free food depending on hours worked.
Pooled tips are once a week, amount depends on hours worked. If you stay with us for over a year, we offer IRA matching and paid vacation. Reliable transportation and weekends required. Kitchen experience is not required, but encouraged. If you're willing to learn and you've got a passion, we'd enjoy working with you! Hours needed for afternoons and evenings, you'll never work later then 8:30pm.
