Brakes 4 Less - Manager in Training Position
The purpose of the Manager in Training position is to create an opportunity for successful candidates to earn a promotion to become a Brakes 4 Less Store Manager. The candidate will immediately enter the Brakes 4 Less Leadership Training program. This program is designed to develop strong Store Number (2’s) which is the steppingstone for promotion to the Store Manager position.
This program requires candidates to work at multiple locations across the given metro area. The expected outcome of the training is to acquire the Knowledge, develop the Skill, and gain the Experience required to lead a Brakes 4 Less store. This is accomplished through various assignments and task repetition.
Manager in Training Role:
The Manager in Training position is a rotational program where candidates take on the responsibilities of each role within a Brakes 4 Less store including Technician (trainee, contributor, senior) and Service Writer.

Technician Responsibilities:
· You will be expected to adhere to the Brake 4 Less safety procedures. The safety of our customers and teammates is a top priority.
· Engage in our team-based vehicle inspection and repair process where working together is how we do business and helping each other is required.
· Identify vehicle problems using diagnostic tools and recommend repairs based on the results of the Brake 4 Less Inspection Process.
· Efficiently complete the work specified on repair orders with the highest level of quality while following company standards.
· Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
· Learn to lead, develop, and organize a team of technicians with Manager support.
Service Writer Responsibilities:
· Greet customers in a friendly, prompt, and courteous manner to create an inviting environment for anyone entering our store.
· Listen carefully to the customer concerns, document issues accurately, and communicate information with the technical team.
· Based on the inspection results, communicate recommended vehicle repairs to customers in laymen terms, with a focus on the value of the repairs.
· Work with customers to find solutions that fit their time and budget, making sure that we improve the customer’s situation.
· Frequently monitor the status of customer vehicles and keep customers updated on progress with a desire to build strong customer relationships.
· Create electronic repair orders, order parts when needed, and provide clear billing information at the end of service.
· Partner with your Service Manager to coordinate a vehicle repair workflow designed to deliver exceptional customer experience.
Work Hours
· Closed Sundays
· Typically, 5-day work week; 40-50 hours weekly schedule
· Hours of Operation vary by location: Monday -Saturday 7/8am – 4/5pm
