Senior Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Millersville, MD

Schedule: Hybrid (4 days in office)

Hourly Rate: ~$40-45/HR

Duration: Contract-to-Hire

Our client, a ~$50M construction company backed by private equity, is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join the current accounting team with a focus on clean-up & process improvements. The new CFO needs someone who is excited to dig into the details and help professionalize the accounting function with an emphasis on impactful change. The company is located in Millersville, MD and this is a hybrid position (4 days onsite).

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or related field
• 3 years of progressive accounting experience
• Proficiency in % of completion accounting
• Proven ability to close month-end within 15 days or less
• Experience supporting the annual audit process
• Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Microsoft Business Central
• CPA and/or Public Accounting experience
• Experience with Power BI or other similar BI tools
