Overview
We're seeking a reliable Class A Truck Driver and Heavy Equipment Operator for local deliveries and maintenance. This is a great opportunity for year-round, stable employment with 40 hours per week. We offer competitive pay ($25-$32/hr, depending on experience).
Duties
- Operate various types of commercial vehicles
- Operate various types of heavy equipment
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of freight, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as required by regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Navigate local routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Assist with freight handling as needed, including operating forklifts for loading/unloading.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type being operated.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of road safety regulations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
