Key Responsibilities
- Timesheet Management: Track and ensure timely and accurate submission of field timesheets.
- Payroll Processing: Review and balance timesheet data for weekly payroll processing using custom software.
- Report Generation: Create and distribute weekly and monthly payroll reports, including Union reports.
- Issue Resolution: Address payroll questions and discrepancies, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Interdepartmental Communication: Respond to requests from internal and external departments.
- Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with company and customer personnel, providing analytical support when needed.
- Confidentiality Maintenance: Ensure employee confidentiality in record keeping and compliance with privacy laws.
- Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Experience: 2 years of experience processing payroll.
- Payroll Knowledge: Familiarity with union and non-union payroll.
- Privacy Law Knowledge: Understanding of state and federal privacy laws.
- Wage and Hour Laws: Knowledge of state and multistate wage and hour laws.
- Technical Skills: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, as well as proficiency in basic math operations and data sorting.
- Software Experience: Experience with Sage300 (Timberline) construction software.
- Certified Payroll: Familiarity with certified payroll.
- Location: Must be able to commute to Long Beach, CA headquarters as needed
- Physical Conditions: Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. May occasionally require standing or moving between office areas.
- Salary: $28-32 per hour (The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position, and individual hourly rate will be based on skills, qualifications, and experience)
