Job Description
FLSA Classification: Laborer
Overtime Status: Non- Exempt
Braen Supply, the premiere landscape, masonry, and hardware building supplier in the greater tri-state area, is currently seeking a hardworking Yard Worker who is able to work at all of our locations (Haledon , Randolph & Wanaque).
This position may be subjected to seasonal layoffs. This is considered a safety- sensitive position subjected to the Company’s Controlled Substance and Alcohol Policy.

We are a safety minded company and expect the successful candidate to be as well. This position is hourly, non-exempt from overtime. Overtime is paid after 40 hours are worked each week. Hours of work are will vary.
Expectations/ Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Safely operate a forklift and/or bucket loader
- Provide friendly customer service
- Accurately utilized a tape measure
- Correctly and safely load customer’s order
- Unload/sort incoming inventory
- Accurately compile products for delivery
- Assist with yard maintenance/cleaning i.e. sweeping, shoveling, general labor duties
- Be able to lift up to 100 lbs unassisted
- Experience with masonry, landscape and hardware products is preferred but not required Other duties will be added once candidate becomes familiar with the operations of the business
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position
- Hours of work are generally 7:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 1:00pm on Saturdays.
- Candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time Periodical exposure to high levels of noise, grease and dust
Physical Demands:
- Perform all job-related functions in all weather conditions
- Candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Repetitive stooping, bending, crouching, lifting as required to perform duties
- Ability to lift/carry at least 100 pounds unaccompanied
Travel:
Position will require work to be performed in all Braen Supply locations (Haledon, Wanaque, & Randolph, NJ) based on scheduling demandsPay: $18.00-$23.00/Hour
