This part-time, on-site Summer Camp Counselor position in Leander, TX plays a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive camp experience for children of all abilities.
Counselors lead daily activities while adapting programming to meet individual needs and supporting each child’s social, emotional, and developmental growth. Responsibilities include assisting with individualized care such as behavioral support, communication assistance, mobility support, and basic personal care.
This role requires strong teamwork, clear communication with families, and a high level of attentiveness, compassion, and flexibility to ensure every child feels supported and included.
Experience working with children in camp, education, or childcare settings, with preference for those who have supported children with special needs or medical complexities
Ability to adapt activities and provide individualized support across a range of needs
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Patient, attentive, and dependable in a dynamic environment
Willingness to assist with personal care and behavioral support
CPR and First Aid certification required (may be obtained after hire)
