Summer Camp Counselor – Part-Time

$16–$18/hour | ~15-30 hours/week

Brady's Bridge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting families of children with special needs by celebrating each child’s unique abilities. The organization was created to provide individualized, inclusive care for children with specialized and medically complex needs.
Brady’s Bridge fills a critical gap in after-school and seasonal programming by maintaining low child-to-staff ratios to ensure each child receives safe, attentive, and personalized support.

As a Summer Camp Counselor, you will lead a small group of children with varying abilities through engaging daily activities while providing individualized support based on each child’s unique needs. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, patient, and passionate about working with children with special needs and medical complexities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, care, and well-being of all campers
- Lead and adapt daily activities to meet a wide range of abilities
- Assist with personal care needs (diapering, feeding, G-tube support, etc.)
- Support behavioral, social, and communication development
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Participate in required training and ongoing development
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience working with children
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Patience, compassion, and reliability in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to assist with personal and medical care needs
- CPR and First Aid certification (required; may be obtained after hire)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in childcare, camps, or educational settings
- Experience working with children with special needs or medical complexities
- Background in special education, therapy, or child development
Camp Schedule
Monday–Friday, 9am-3pm
