JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Technician to provide exceptional customer and technical support to our employees. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, a passion for delivering excellent service, and the technical expertise to support a range of systems and software. As an IT Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operation of various IT services.
Deskside Support: Provide in-person, on-site technical support to employees for issues with desktops, laptops, and peripherals, ensuring swift resolution of hardware and software problems.
Zoom Phone Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues via phone, offering support for software and hardware queries, primarily for Windows operating systems.
Windows Operating Systems: Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows operating systems, ensuring optimal performance.
AV Systems: Support and troubleshoot Zoom video conferencing systems, including AV equipment, ensuring smooth meetings and video calls.
Printers and Peripherals: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networked printers, scanners, and other office peripherals.
Legal Applications: Provide support for legal-specific applications such as NetDocuments, addressing user questions, configurations, and software-related issues.
Software Updates: Install and manage software updates for operating systems, legal apps, and other applications.
User Training: Provide training and guidance to employees on the effective use of technology, tools, and software.
Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of technical issues and resolutions, ensuring all support actions are properly documented in the help desk system.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to address escalated issues and ensure overall system performance is optimized.
After hours: Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for emergency support.
Other Duties: As assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 4 years in end user support, preferably in professional services (legal, accounting or medical).
Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar support role.
Proficiency with Windows operating systems (Windows 10, 11).
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
Expert knowledge of PC hardware and peripherals.
Familiarity with Zoom video conferencing and AV systems.
Experience with legal software applications such as NetDocuments preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills - convey technical info to non-tech users.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Various physical activity may be required.
In compliance with the Wage Transparency Act, we disclose that the salary range for this position in Washington, DC. is $70,000 to $88,000 base salary. Positions outside of Washington, DC may vary based on the market. Compensation offered will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
