The Quality Technician is responsible for improving processes by following basic quality techniques to track, analyze and report on material, processes, and products to ensure they meet the organization’s quality standards.

The Quality Technician is responsible for improving processes by following basic quality techniques to track, analyze and report on material, processes, and products to ensure they meet the organization’s quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Identify and Improve Process constraints (issues) by driving Root Cause Analysis with other functions
- Update and Develop Work Instructions
- Hold and Release FG product per standard and work instructions
- Training and development of Quality Inspectors
- Perform Process and Finished good Audits
- Analyze and report on First Pass Yield data
- Conduct material trials and evaluations as needed.
- Liaison with Product Development on Process and Product improvements activities
- Approvals of deviations representing Quality organization
- 1-3 Years of high volume, medium mix manufacturing experience
- Previous experience in a quality and/or lab environment
- Knowledge of quality measurement systems and tooling
- Ability to read drawings and/or charts
- Proficient in computer skills, including Excel and other analysis tools
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- 2 or 4-year technical degree; ASQ certification is preferred
- Formal problem-solving experience is preferred
- Previous experience in a union environment is preferred
