Heavy Equipment Operator
Bradford Forest LLC, a leading hardwood lumber and dimension parts manufacturing company situated in the rolling hills of Northwestern Pennsylvania, is looking for a highly motivated Heavy Equipment Operator for our Bradford, Pennsylvania location. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for ensuring the movement and functioning of heavy machines in carrying out specific tasks.
Qualification & Requirements of Heavy Equipment Operator:
- Previous log yard experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate a front-end loader or prentice for at least 10 hours daily.
- Knowledge and experience in identifying and recognizing log species.
- Able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities of Heavy Equipment Operator:
- Safely and efficiently operate various types of equipment, including wheel loader and picker.
- Load and unload log trucks safely.
- Sort logs on pad.
- Handle, move, sort and store logs in inventory by species.
- Other duties as required, will include some chainsaw operation and clean-up.
- Demonstrate and maintain a positive, team-oriented work ethic.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation and completion of tasks.
Heavy Equipment Operator Pay & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly starting minimum - $15.00. Pay will be commensurate with experience.
- Full-time position with overtime hours. 1st shift work schedule, Monday through Friday.
