Hardwood Lumber Grader
Bradford Forest LLC, a leading hardwood lumber and dimension parts manufacturing company situated in the rolling hills of Northwestern Pennsylvania, is looking for a highly motivated Hardwood Lumber Grader for our Bradford, Pennsylvania facility. The Grader role is responsible for inspecting lumber according to NHLA rules.
Job Responsibilities
- Visually grade green and/or kiln dry hardwood lumber according to NHLA rules
- Grade at production speed, while maintaining grading accuracy
- Work safely and help maintain a safe work environment
- Read and understand production schedules.
- Work closely with operations to maintain lumber quality.
Qualifications
- NHLA certification desired
- If not NHLA certified, having a willingness to obtain certification.
- Possesses ability to accurately apply NHLA rules.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience grading green and/or kiln dried hardwood lumber
- Proficient with basic math skills
- Reliable individual with an excellent attendance record
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, walking, stairs, pushing, pulling, repetitive motion, kneeling, squatting and balancing, exposure to loud noises and dust
- Demonstrate and maintain a positive, team-oriented work ethic
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive starting hourly wage.
- Pay will be commensurate with prior grading experience.
- Full-time position with overtime hours. 1st shift work schedule, Monday through Friday.
