Job Summary: Coordinates the daily activity of the post closing, the credit file rooms and loan sale functions. Supervises a staff of 2 to 4 clerks.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinates, organizes, and supervises the day-to-day activities of the Post Closing staff to achieve management directed and job-related goals efficiently.
- Coordinates, organizes, and supervises the day-to-day activities to maintain safekeeping of legal and credit files. This includes administration of scanning and delivering files to offsite custodian / storage.
- Coordinates or performs the pre-funding review all loan documents to determine whether all critical loan documents have been received, are accurately completed prior to release of loan proceeds.
- Reviews all Residential and Commercial Real Estate loan documents to determine whether all critical loan documents have been received, accurately completed, duly executed and are enforceable.
- Works with Closing Agents and/or Brokers in obtaining missing information or documents.
- Prepares files for loan sale due diligence reviews and shipment.
- Reviews files and system data for loan purchases. Coordinates system data conversions.
- Leads a team of 2-4 co-workers.
- Prepares reports and document copies as needed for audits.
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time on a temporary or permanent basis by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of and working experience with residential and commercial real estate loans files.
- Advanced working knowledge of industry standards and laws and regulations impacting mortgage originations and loan operations.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a team-oriented environment, with individual responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work without supervision and follow through on assignments.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct day-to-day activities of subordinates to achieve job-related goals efficiently.
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 5-year residential & commercial real estate servicing, post closing audits, and loan sales experience. A minimum of 5-year experience in supervising clerical staff.
- Four-year degree from an accredited institution, MBA preferred.
Language Skills: Speak, read, and write English.
