DataOps Analyst

Job Summary: We are looking for a DataOps Analyst focused on deploying, monitoring, and maintaining data platforms in on-premise environments. In the near future, cloud skills will also be needed as this role will help drive Bank data to the cloud. The ideal candidate has practical experience with workflow orchestration, system administration, release processes, and troubleshooting production pipelines across Kubernetes (K8S) and Windows servers.

Key Responsibilities:

DataSecOps Framework

• Troubleshoot Airflow issues and monitor the tool stability.
• Assess SQL database and apply best practices for optimization to data structures and development
• Define and enforce access control and identity management based on least-privilege principles.
• Establish continuous monitoring for real-time security and compliance alerts.

Data Quality & Observability

• Deploy validation frameworks for automated checks on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Create monitoring dashboards to track data health and pipeline performance.
• Define incident management processes for anomaly detection and resolution.

Data Governance & Compliance

• Define clear governance rules for data ownership, stewardship, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure compliance with LGPD, U.S. privacy laws, and banking regulations.
• Implement metadata management and data catalog tools for discoverability and lineage tracking.

Cloud-Based Data Architecture

• Design and implement a “Lakehouse” architecture combining data lake for raw data and data warehouse for structured analytics.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery mechanisms for business continuity.

Advanced Analytics & AI Enablement

• Enable self-service BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) for business users.
• Build infrastructure for machine learning model training and deployment pipelines.
• Provide a secure data science sandbox for experimentation without impacting production.

Monitoring & Cost Optimization

• Implement FinOps practices for efficient cloud cost management.
• Optimize queries and storage for performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in software development, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, SQL, JavaScript, or similar.
• Familiarity with banking systems, APIs, and integration protocols
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and compliance standards
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, Git).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Occasional availability for on-call/emergency support and flexible working hours.

Language: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, portuguese or Spanish language skills are a plus.
