Automotive Title Clerk
Join our fast-paced dealership team as an Automotive Title Clerk, managing title processing at our Carroll, Ohio location. You’ll ensure every vehicle transfer is completed accurately and on time, delivering exceptional service to our internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process incoming vehicle titles daily, following state DMV and agency guidelines
- Reconcile consignor checks to titles and invoices, ensuring all paperwork matches
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, fax, or in person with professionalism and a service-first attitude
- Open, log, and track incoming title documents according to established procedures
- Troubleshoot title issues such as odometer discrepancies, powers of attorney, liens, and incomplete documentation
- Match sold titles to corresponding invoices for seamless batch submissions
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company records at all times
- Collaborate with team members during peak sale events and promotions to support volume fluctuations
- Assist with special projects or tasks to uphold optimum service levels
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional office or technical training a plus
- Minimum 1 year of automotive title processing experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and standard office equipment
- Notary public designation preferred, or willingness to become commissioned
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail
- Proven ability to thrive in a high-performance, rapidly changing environment
- Excellent customer service mindset and problem-solving abilities
- Reliable data-entry speed and accuracy

Location, Schedule & Pay:
This role is a full-time position, working in person in Carroll, Ohio. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional peak-period flexibility.
Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
