Description
South Fork Housing is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician. SFH has over 1700 leased spaces in Idaho. The properties include Student Housing at Brigham Young University- Idaho in Rexburg, ID and single-family housing.
The Maintenance Technician will primarily be focused on:
- Follow company safety standards and report issues.
- Monitor and complete work orders to meet tenant expectations including:
- Appliance repair.
- Fire suppression system maintenance and operation.
- Operates lifts and other construction type equipment in maintaining the property.
- Carpet cleaning.
- Rotate on call with other maintenance techs.
- Addressing plumbing issues.
- Changing air filters and light bulbs.
- Drywall repair.
- Electrical troubleshooting.
- Landscaping and curb appeal.
- Snow removal as needed.
- Other maintenance requests and issues as needed.
- Complete weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance schedule.
- Assist in and complete snow removal and grounds care as needed.
The preferred candidate for the Maintenance Technician will have the following:
- Two or more years' experience in maintenance, operations, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and able to learn company systems and processes.
- Adheres to the company’s values and ethical expectations.
- Able to effectively multitask.
- Strong understanding of facility systems and maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interior and exterior paint, appliance repair, etc.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
