About the Role:
BR Printers is seeking a detail-oriented Prepress Associate with strong aptitude for learning, creativity, and QC accuracy. This role includes prepress work, design tasks, and quality control mainly but not limited to our major accounts. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train a candidate who shows strong technical and design abilities. This is a union position and as such the employee will be required to join the union. The union has a generous benefit plan along with a liberal Paid Time Off policy.
This is a first shift position, hours would be from 7:00am- 3:30pm and must be willing to work over-time as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare customer files for print production, ensuring accuracy and print readiness
- Review and preflight digital files for resolution, color, layout, and specifications
- Complete design tasks including layout edits, design adjustments, and file enhancements
- Perform QC (Quality Control) checks for major projects, ensuring all materials meet brand standards and job specifications
- Identify and correct any file issues before production
- Conduct color, layout, and content verification before final approval
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure efficient workflow
- Operate prepress software and equipment (training provided if needed)
Qualifications:
- Strong aptitude for technical tasks, design work, and learning new software
- Creative eye for layout, design consistency, and branding standards
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) is preferred
- Ability to perform thorough QC checks with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Prior printing, prepress, QC, or design experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
