Duties
- Mow lawns using power mowers, ensuring even cutting and a manicured appearance.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as edging, trimming, pruning, and shrubbery care to promote healthy growth.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks including planting, digging, aerating, and soil preparation.
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and making necessary repairs to ensure proper watering.
- Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and assessing tree health to support safety and aesthetics.
- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and accessible.
- Support hardscape projects by preparing surfaces, laying pavers or stones, and installing features like patios or walkways.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating lawn care equipment and hand tools.
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques, horticulture principles, and garden maintenance practices.
- Experience with landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting.
- Ability to operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, excavators, and other landscaping machinery safely.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and repair is a plus.
- Strong understanding of tree care practices including trimming and health assessment.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects is required.
