Job Overview
BPI Minerals is seeking a dependable and hardworking Plant Laborer / Equipment Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position supports daily plant operations by assisting with material processing, equipment operation, housekeeping, and general labor. This position will be full time, offering a benefits package that includes but not limited to health care coverage and a market leading 401(K) programs.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, skid steers, and other mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, move, and stage raw materials and finished products.
- Assist with crushing, screening, blending, and material processing operations.
- Monitor production equipment and report any mechanical issues.
- Keep production areas clean and organized through routine housekeeping.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment.
- Follow production schedules and work instructions.
- Assist maintenance personnel during equipment repairs and shutdowns.
- Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and PPE requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, construction, mining, aggregate, or industrial experience is preferred.
- Experience operating a forklift and/or skid steer is preferred (training available for the right candidate).
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate material handling equipment.
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in a dusty, industrial environment and outdoors when needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including verification of work eligibility, and drug and alcohol screening.
