Upfit Tech

The Upfit Tech will receive trucks from the Fabrication or Mechanic shops and will finish upfitting the truck by completing the wiring and installing body components on the back. Additional work will include building extra parts, so they are ready when needed at a future time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install lights, wire harnesses and put attenuator on trucks
• Check lighting and wiring mechanisms to ensure proper functioning of headlights, spotlights, taillights and parking lights
• Complete prep work on chassis’s including paint and rust removal
• Pre-build extra parts (ex: attenuator, nunya) to be used at a future date if the Prep Shop is behind
• Responsible for keeping your work area clean and neat throughout the day and cleanup work area at the end of each day

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
