Evening Maintenance Supervisor

Overview:

The Maintenance Supervisor helps to oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility. Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair activities within a facility, ensuring that equipment, machinery, and infrastructure are in good working condition.

You will be expected to be a working manager, assisting or leading others in the field, working alongside the employees you supervise as a collaborative team. The supervisor reports to the Facility Director and is responsible for making decisions in their absence. A successful Supervisor should possess strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Leadership
• Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
• Help to plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
• Monitor equipment and supply inventory
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed
• Vendor and contractor management

Requirements:

• Problem solving and troubleshooting
• Experience in planning maintenance operations
• Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
• Working knowledge of facilities, machines, and equipment
• Ability to keep track of and report on activity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities

Tasks including but not limited to:

• Communication: Maintenance supervisor is responsible to attend daily meetings with property Manager to plan workload. Individual must maintain a fast, reliable communication channel with progress reports on projects.
• Inspect: Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
• Plan and Execute: Help to plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
• Monitor: equipment and supply inventory
• Safety: Ensure health and safety policies are followed
• Teamwork: Look to create a positive and motivations work environment
• Ability to work varied number of hours per week on a rotating basis.
• Must display a high degree of pride and integrity in job performance.
• Ability to learn and comprehend all company policies pertaining to his or her position and employment, including safety regulations.
• Must be mature, neat in appearance, courteous, friendly, and have knowledge of what to do or say in dealing with people.

• Lift, Carry, Push, and/or Pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to wear a uniform on duty.
• Should have working knowledge of plumbing, electricity, carpentry, and mechanics.

• Must possess the ability to check out problems before they arise and act on them to ensure they do not become serious.
• Must possess the ability to complete and report the completion of all tasks assigned, both verbal and written.
• Ability to communicate your ideas and describe the nature of the work you are doing to outside tradesmen.
• Maintain a sense of confidentiality.
