Position Summary

The Customer Greeter is responsible for creating a professional, welcoming first impression for every customer who enters Bozarth Chevrolet. This position serves as the first point of contact and ensures each customer is quickly directed to the appropriate department or team member.

The ideal candidate is professional, friendly, approachable, attentive, and confident communicating with customers.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $20.00 per hour
• Schedule: Split shifts covering the hours of 8:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Schedule will be arranged to provide greeter coverage throughout the business day.

Primary Responsibility

The sole responsibility of the Customer Greeter is to greet every customer who enters the dealership and direct them to the appropriate destination.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet every customer promptly and professionally upon entering the dealership.
• Maintain a friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanor at all times.
• Ask customers how you can assist them and determine where they need to go.
• Direct customers to:
  • Service Department
  • Parts Department
  • Sales Department
• Connect customers with an available Sales Consultant when they are visiting the dealership to purchase or discuss a vehicle.
• Provide clear directions to the appropriate department or employee.
• Assist customers who may be unsure where they need to go.
• Maintain awareness of customers entering the building so no customer is left unattended.
• Represent Bozarth Chevrolet in a professional manner at all times.

What This Position Does NOT Include

This position is specifically designed to focus on greeting and directing customers. The Customer Greeter is not responsible for:

• Selling vehicles
• Negotiating vehicle purchases
• Handling sales leads
• Answering sales or service calls
• Writing repair orders
• Collecting payments
• Handling parts transactions
• Performing administrative duties outside of assisting customers with directions and introductions

Qualifications

• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Excellent customer service skills
• Friendly and approachable personality
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to confidently interact with customers from all backgrounds
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to remain attentive and engaged throughout the shift
• Previous customer service, hospitality, automotive, or dealership experience is preferred but not required

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who naturally enjoys welcoming people, helping others, and creating a positive first impression. They should be comfortable approaching customers, asking how they can help, and confidently directing them to the right person or department.

Physical & Work Environment

• Primarily stationed at the dealership's main customer entrance.
• Requires standing and walking for portions of the shift.
• Fast-paced customer-facing environment.
• Professional appearance and appropriate workplace attire required.

Customer Service Standard

Every customer who walks through the doors of Bozarth Chevrolet should feel welcomed, acknowledged, and taken care of. The Customer Greeter plays an important role in making that first interaction positive and professional.
